Hello , I had success with "repairing an bitumen roof" at a garage. The roof-water gets down inside the roof , with an PVC pipe. There was a great water-diffusion a damage. Bad in winter, when ice opens the whole. And difficult to find the way of penetration. So I used a trick. I did let white – wood – adhesiv come down with the water from the roof. So I changed the surface of the roof concrete kapillars. They changed from hydrophil to hydrophob. But the waterresitance of a dispersion is not good enough for a roof. So I mended "the rest" with liquid bitumen. Theory : the plastiziser part in bitumen diffused into the dispersion polymer and changes it to a plastisol. I have build a in situ polymer bitumen. This compound is directly build "on the job", it founds the damaged holes by itselve, where the water came in. It works, is perfect, no more upfreesing concrete roof in winter. And excuse my unexperienced description.
