Here is what I have been doing for three days: trying to draw Pixel.

I can’t get it. It will all be put away. Probably for months. All garbage. I am upset with my inability to draw simple things, like wings, leaves, or a vaguely female figure. Disgusting. Should she have a creepy bug body? A huge egg head? An elongated, segmented torso? A nose? A bust? Why? Are Fairies mammals? If she doesn’t have breasts, hair, or lips, what else can you use to signal her gender? Impractical shoes?

I did work out the sociological workings and gender relations for the fairies though. And some political philosophies for them. That was fun; I didn’t have to draw anything.

Who cares? It’s all going in a drawer for later.
