The show was, it could be said, a success. It fell short of my expectations, but I’m told I sold a respectable amount, and as a first time, I probably did pretty well. I want there to be a third day, but the 2nd day wasn’t too hot so forget that. Next up is getting the books in stores. Fun fun fun.
Only 14 or so hours until the debut of my first ever comic The Sad State of Affairs of Rooster Jack at Fallcon. It’s a strange feeling. I have no idea how the book will be received, but I am optimistic. I have printed some fine posters and shall hang them inside the grandstand. Every minute I wonder if I printed too many books, not enough, priced it too high, too low, etc. Time will tell. I should, hopefully, be able to post day one and two recaps the evenings after, but we’ll see.
As of 1 a.m. last night, all the copies of The Sad State of Affairs of Rooster Jack that would be printed are. I squeezed out as many as I could before I ran out of glasses and covers. I even printed one copy on white cardstock. I’m calling it the “popping colors variant”. You get one of those for every two hundred you buy. It’ll be worth $100 for a week, then $15 for a month, then $3 for all time. Well, $3 for two months then bargain bin fodder, most likely
